मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने आज सचिवालय में वन विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक लेते हुए मानव–वन्यजीव संघर्ष को रोकने के लिए व्यापक और प्रभावी कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि मानव जीवन की सुरक्षा सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है, इसलिए विभागीय सतर्कता, त्वरित कार्रवाई और आधुनिक तकनीक का उपयोग सुनिश्चित किया जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने स्पष्ट निर्देश दिया कि मानव–वन्यजीव संघर्ष की सूचना मिलते ही 30 मिनट के भीतर वन विभाग की टीम मौके पर पहुँचे। इसके लिए संबंधित DFO और RO की जिम्मेदारी तय की जाएगी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि प्रभावित परिवारों को आर्थिक सहायता तुरंत उपलब्ध कराई जाए।
पौड़ी के DFO को तत्काल हटाने के निर्देश
पौड़ी जिले में मानव–वन्यजीव संघर्ष की बढ़ती घटनाओं पर गंभीर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने वहाँ के DFO को तत्काल प्रभाव से हटाने के आदेश दिए।
स्कूली बच्चों के लिए एस्कॉर्ट व्यवस्था
सीएम धामी ने निर्देश दिया कि जिन क्षेत्रों में जंगली जानवरों की गतिविधि अधिक है, वहाँ स्कूली बच्चों को घर से स्कूल और स्कूल से घर तक सुरक्षित लाने-ले जाने के लिए वन विभाग और जिला प्रशासन द्वारा एस्कॉर्ट की व्यवस्था की जाए।
जीविका सुरक्षा के लिए दो सप्ताह में नीति तैयार करने का निर्देश
उन्होंने कहा कि संघर्ष के दौरान यदि किसी परिवार के कमाने वाले सदस्य की मृत्यु होती है, तो परिवार को आर्थिक संकट न झेलना पड़े। इसके लिए वन विभाग दो सप्ताह में आजीविका सहयोग हेतु नीति तैयार कर प्रस्तुत करे।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जनपदों में संघर्ष रोकने के लिए जिन भी उपकरणों की आवश्यकता है, उन्हें शीघ्र उपलब्ध कराया जाए।
उन्होंने जंगली जानवरों को आबादी में प्रवेश से रोकने के लिए स्थायी समाधान, केमरा निगरानी, और ग्रामीणों के साथ निरंतर संवाद पर विशेष जोर दिया।
झाड़ियों की सफाई और ग्रामीणों में जागरूकता अभियान
सीएम धामी ने निर्देश दिया कि बस्तियों के आसपास की झाड़ियों को विशेष अभियान चलाकर साफ किया जाए तथा महिलाओं और बच्चों को वन्यजीवों की गतिविधियों के प्रति अधिक जागरूक किया जाए।
