मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने रुद्रपुर के एक स्थानीय होटल में आयोजित कुमाऊं उदय सम्मान समारोह में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तियों को सम्मानित किया और उन्हें बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं दीं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अमर उजाला समाचार पत्र 1948 से निरंतर समाज को दिशा देने का कार्य कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्थापक डोरीलाल जी द्वारा लगाया गया यह पौधा आज एक वटवृक्ष का रूप ले चुका है। उन्होंने बताया कि राज्य ने हाल ही में अपने स्थापना के रजत जयंती वर्ष को मनाया है और इस अवधि में प्रदेश में अनेक ऐतिहासिक एवं विकासपरक कार्य हुए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के कुशल नेतृत्व में उत्तराखंड विकास और समृद्धि के नए कीर्तिमान स्थापित कर रहा है। राज्य सरकार शहरों से लेकर सुदूर पर्वतीय गांवों तक सड़क, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, पेयजल और अन्य आधारभूत सुविधाओं को मजबूत कर रही है।
उन्होंने बताया कि ऊधमसिंह नगर जनपद और रुद्रपुर क्षेत्र में विकास के लिए कई महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाएं संचालित की जा रही हैं। रुद्रपुर में गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के लिए मेडिकल कॉलेज का निर्माण कार्य प्रगति पर है। लगभग 590 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से रुद्रपुर बाईपास, खटीमा-टनकपुर और गदरपुर-जसपुर फोरलेन सड़क का निर्माण कराया जा रहा है। वहीं 55 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से मानूनगर-गदरपुर से दिनेशपुर-मटकोटा होकर हल्द्वानी को जोड़ने वाले मार्ग का चौड़ीकरण किया जा रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि रुद्रपुर रेलवे स्टेशन का नवीनीकरण, नई सिग्नल लाइनें और दो रेल ओवरब्रिज का निर्माण किया जा रहा है। जल निकासी समस्या के समाधान के लिए मास्टर ड्रेनेज प्लान को मंजूरी दी गई है। साथ ही सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर महिलाओं के लिए पिंक टॉयलेट्स का निर्माण जारी है। रुद्रपुर में 15 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से राज्य का पहला कंप्रेस्ड बायो गैस प्लांट तथा 17 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से एडवांस कूड़ा प्रबंधन प्लांट स्थापित किया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि किच्छा में 351 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से एम्स ऋषिकेश के सैटेलाइट सेंटर का निर्माण, पंतनगर में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर के हवाई अड्डे का विकास, गदरपुर व खटीमा में बाईपास, खटीमा व किच्छा में बस अड्डों का निर्माण किया जा रहा है। साथ ही रुद्रपुर, गदरपुर और चकरपुर में खेल स्टेडियम, बहुउद्देश्यीय हॉल, साइकिलिंग और एथलेटिक्स ट्रैक सहित स्पोर्ट्स इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर विकसित किया जा रहा है।
उन्होंने बताया कि काशीपुर में अरोमा पार्क, सितारगंज में प्लास्टिक पार्क, काशीपुर में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स मैन्युफैक्चरिंग क्लस्टर, पंतनगर में मल्टीमॉडल लॉजिस्टिक पार्क तथा खुरपिया में इंडस्ट्रियल स्मार्ट सिटी की स्थापना से क्षेत्र के औद्योगिक विकास को गति मिल रही है। जमरानी बांध बहुउद्देशीय परियोजना को पुनः प्रारंभ कर तराई क्षेत्र की पेयजल और सिंचाई समस्या के समाधान की दिशा में कार्य किया जा रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गन्ना किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के लिए सरकार ने गन्ने के समर्थन मूल्य में 30 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल की वृद्धि की है। उन्होंने दोहराया कि सरकार अपने “विकल्प रहित संकल्प” के साथ तराई क्षेत्र के समग्र विकास और लोगों की समृद्धि के लिए निरंतर कार्य करती रहेगी।
इस अवसर पर विधायक श्री शिव अरोरा, मेयर श्री विकास शर्मा, अपर सचिव मुख्यमंत्री श्री बंशीधर तिवारी, जिलाधिकारी श्री नितिन सिंह भदौरिया, एसएसपी श्री मणिकांत मिश्रा सहित अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
